British Columbia Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2026 proposes to extend 7% provincial sales tax to certain professional services from 1 October 2026 - accounting, bookkeeping and assurance; non-residential real-estate services; security and private investigation; and architectural, engineering and geoscience services (PST on 30% of the price). BC Ministry of Finance published Notice 2026-001; the legislation is subject to Royal Assent.
