Thailand keeps its 7% VAT with weeks to spare, and three 1 October cuts still have no law (Week of August 31, 2026)
Thailand gazetted the decree extending its reduced 7% VAT to September 2027, five weeks before the statutory 10% would have taken over. Uganda's registration threshold turns out to be UGX 300 million, not the 250 million on record. Tanzania's Finance Act yields three further VAT limbs on a full reading. And three separate 1 October measures — the UK's electricity zero-rate, Barbados's threshold rise and British Columbia's PST expansion — still have no legislation behind them.
