Czech businesses preparing for the second-generation electronic sales-records regime. Nothing is required yet — no obligation exists until the bill is passed, signed and published in the Sbirka zakonu.
No action - monitoring only. The Czech EET 2.0 bill is back with the Chamber of Deputies and can be reconsidered from 4 September 2026.
Snemovni tisk 189 (EET 2.0 - the government bill on sales records) passed the Chamber of Deputies at third reading on 15 July 2026 (vote 88, resolution 263) and went to the Senate on 21 July 2026 as Senate tisk 270. On 19 August 2026, at its 29th session, the Senate returned the bill to the Chamber of Deputies with amendments (Senate resolution 510). The bill is not enacted: it is back with the Chamber, which may reconsider it from 4 September 2026 at the earliest. No Sbirka zakonu number exists and the President has not received it.

What it means
The distinction worth holding on to is that the Financial Administration is already publishing operational guidance on EET 2.0 while the bill itself is unpassed. Guidance is not commencement. The Chamber may reconsider from 4 September 2026, and until it does and the law is published with a Sbirka zakonu number, any implementation date circulating is provisional.
