Qatar's General Tax Authority announced on 7 September 2026 that, effective 1 November 2026, laboratory analysis certificates required for the registration of sweetened-drinks products under the excise-tax regime will be received and approved electronically through the Dhareeba platform via direct integration with Ministry of Public Health-accredited, Authority-registered laboratories, removing the requirement to attach certificates manually.

Qatar’s General Tax Authority announced on 7 September 2026 that, effective 1 November 2026, the laboratory analysis certificates required to register sweetened-drinks products under the excise-tax regime will be received and approved electronically through the Dhareeba platform, via direct integration with Ministry of Public Health-accredited, Authority-registered laboratories. The taxpayer submits a product registration application through Dhareeba, delivers the sample to an accredited laboratory, and once the laboratory approves the results, the test data and analysis certificate are sent automatically to Dhareeba — removing the requirement to attach certificates manually.
