Bahrain CR Number Checker
Check a Bahrain Commercial Registration (CR) number against the commercial register — with the registered business name and legal form.
What is a Bahrain CR number?
A Commercial Registration (CR) number is the number the Ministry of Industry and Commerce gives a business when it is entered in Bahrain’s commercial register, written as a registration number and a branch number — for example 76907-1 for Bahrain Bourse. All of a business’s branches share the registration number before the hyphen.

- Length: Registration numbers have no fixed length.
- Branch: The checker drops the branch number and looks up the registration.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I look up a Bahrain CR number?
Enter it in the checker on this page — with or without the branch number — to see the registered name and legal form. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce’s Sijilat portal also offers a free public CR search by number or name.
What does the “-1” in a CR number mean?
It is the branch number. The digits before the hyphen are the registration number shared by all branches — Bahrain Bourse’s CR 76907-1 is registration 76907, branch 1. Sijilat’s user guide tells you to enter the CR number without the branch number.
Does a Bahrain CR number have a check digit?
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce publishes no check-digit rule, so the format alone cannot prove a CR exists — only the register can.
Do CR numbers expire?
A CR must be renewed by its expiry date. Lapsed or deleted CRs stay in the register with a non-active status, so check the status on Sijilat before relying on a CR.
What is the difference between a CR and a VAT number?
The CR, from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, authorises commercial activity and is written with a branch suffix. The VAT account number, from the National Bureau for Revenue, has 15 digits and is shared by all of a business’s branches. Check a VAT number.
Must Bahraini businesses show their CR number?
Yes. Traders must state their registration number in their papers, documents, printed material and dealings with third parties.
