On 8 June 2026 the Policy & Resources Committee published its 2026 Tax Reform Package proposing a 3% Goods and Services Tax effective 1 January 2028, with food at the standard rate. The package requires approval by the States of Deliberation at its July 2026 sitting; no legislation is enacted yet.
